Line gun SOMET
The COMET line thrower is a disposable compact device for feeding line in a given direction at a considerable distance. Serves to ensure the ability to re-moor vessels during adverse weather conditions (storm, poor visibility). And also for performing other tasks where an accurate line feed is required at a distance of up to 250 meters. According to the requirements of SOLAS, there must be 4 units (devices) on board the vessel. They can be located both in one place (cabinet) and dispersed throughout the vessel (stern-bow) - making it possible to launch simultaneously from different positions.
